I drive an old Fiat Punto. I mean a really old Punto, so every time I need to spend money on car repairs I ask myself "Is it worth keeping the car?"
Lucky for me, I take my car to Jacksons garage. Their service is second to none and they never hit me with any nasty surprises when it comes to paying the bill.
For Example:
As I was driving back from Birmingham the clutch died, taking the housing and bearing with it. I managed to get all the way back to Bolton without having to stop (how many times does THAT happen?).
Well, that was, until I came off St Peters Way at Bradford Road. Then I got stuck at the traffic lights and the car would go no further. I managed to push the heap of scrap iron onto Bromwich street and left it overnight.
I called down to Jacksons garage and explained my dilemma. They took the keys and sent a truck to pick up my car and drop it off outside my door. Then they picked it up from my garage and did the repair. I was kept informed of the damage to the clutch, bearing and housing and no work was carried out without my agreement.
While nobody likes to spend money on an old car, the final bill was acceptable for the work done. The pickup and delivery was all part of the service and now the car runs as sweet as it ever did!
So the bottom line is...would I ever recommend them? In short, YES!
